First off, let me say that this works like a charm. I have used it and within just a few pumps, it pops the cork right out. As to some the other reviewers that have had issues, perhaps they are using older bottles of wine with tougher corks, or perhaps it is a result of some quality issues...And this is the main thing preventing me from giving 5 stars to this product. While it looks nice and professional, immediately upon opening it the clip at the end came off, the glue poorly applied or just a poor adhesive. There is also a very thin, weak bit of rubber protecting the actual needle, which I am sure to lose or puncture soon. While these may not prevent the device from working, they detract from the polish, and make me wonder about the price.If you are buying this for yourself, I can recommend it. If for a gift, maybe not.
