Use an included wine bottle stopper in combination with the wine pump vacuum. Just insert the vacuum wine stopper into the bottle and pump until you hear the patented "click". The "click" signals an airtight seal.

I bought this to repalce teh ine I bough 20 years ago which had failed.This works well and I expect another 20 years.Very easy to use, alarm indicates that you arrive to the vacuum required level, your wine can be kept for two or three days with very little degradation.Simple to use.We use this when we open a bottle of wine and don’t finish it in one sitting. Keeps the wine fresh.I am in the wine industry and this is my preferred method of inexpensive wine preserving. Sometimes the simplist way is also the best. I have used wine preserver (gas can), coravin ($$$), industrial argon and vacuvin is my personal go to. They don't last forever but mine did for about 10 years and at this price, that exceeds expectations. Makes a great gift, too.I have bought this gadget in the past and have also gifted it.
