Tal como lo esperaba, excelente productoWe are big red wine drinkers yet we are on a budget so we have been using aerators for a while to improve the taste of the wine and get the most out of our budget buys. First off, aerators DO make a marked difference. No doubt about that in my mind. It can make a $10 bottle of wine taste like a $20 bottle etc etc.We started with a couple of the Vinturi aerators, even got the one with the stand and they work very well but they are really kind of a pain to use. You either have to hold the wine over the Vinturi which in turn you hold over the glass and it's a balancing act, especially with 1.5 liter bottles. It turned out the stand was even harder to use, even though it looked nice it's so high off the table that soon it was gathering dust.last Christmas our daughter bought us an in bottle aerator which worked great but proved to be fragile. It was a Joie wine aerator. After a few months of use the tip was chipped and the inside of it broke. It also had trouble fitting different kinds of bottles and had a tendency to leak. So while it worked nicely at first, it didn't last. That's when I took a chance on the Trudeau Aroma Aerating Pourer with Stand and I am glad I did. It seems much more sturdy and well thought out than the last in bottle unit and doesn't seem to have a problem fitting a wide variety of bottles and has yet to leak. The collar around the base does a good job eliminating that. The angle of the spout makes it easier to pour and it is making the expected difference with the taste of our red wines. Finally, I would definitely get it with the little stand, looks like the price is same and it's a good place to secure the until when not in use.Overall a good buy, will update is we spend more time with the product.I've purchased five of these so far--one for me and four more for friends--so you can tell that I like it.Last night my girlfriend (who has 750 bottles of wine in her cellar) and I did a taste test--blind for her but necessarily not for me. We started with a Don Cayetano Chilean red. Three large glasses. One with wine right out of the bottle, just after opening. The second with the wine poured through a Vinturi. The third with the wine poured through this product. I knew which was which, and I felt that the Vinturi worked better than this, but this worked very well. My girlfriend didn't know which wine was in which glass until she tasted them. Then she immediately knew which was which. The unaerated wine was pretty harsh and oaky. The other glasses were open and smooth and delicious. You might say that the Vinturi is like letting the wine open in a decanter for an hour, while this product is like letting it open for a half hour. In seconds. Both products use Venturi valves to introduce a lot of air into the flow of wine. I don't know why the Vinturi opens the wine more, but it does.So why did I buy four more of these after the taste test, rather than buy more Vinturis? 1) The Vinturi weighs twice as much, though it's about the same length. 2) This product fits right into the bottle, while with the Vinturi, I have to hold the device with one hand while pouring the wine with the other--it's awkward and easy to spill. 3) It's easy to drip wine out the bottom of the Vinturi after aerating wine and while returning it to the stand. By contrast, this product doesn't drip and it stays attached to the bottle, so it's easy to pour one-handed. 4) This product is much handier to take to a restaurant for instant aerating--it will fit in my blazer pocket without much of a bulge, unlike the Vinturi.I wish this product aerated as well as the Vinturi, but it definitely does open the wine and make it drinkable at once. Weighing the pros and cons, I find that this is the easiest and handiest, and given that it does work well, these pros outweigh the extra aerating of the Vinturi.I did a TON of research on wine aerators for a month before the holidays and I rested on this device. Although I have had good prior experience with the so called "leading" competitor's aerator, I really wanted to find one that worked just as well on aerating the wine, but would attach to the top of the bottle so I didn't have to use two hands, deal with where to put it when done pouring, having it drip on the counter, etc. I wanted it simple & easy to use. I got my Trudeau aerator in the mail today (1/11/11) and was really excited to try it out! Not only was I impressed with how well it worked, I also took it with me to my friends' house for an impromptu dinner get together so they could try it too. We used it on a familiar bottle of wine we have had before and they loved it as well, noticing quite a difference in the flavor of the wine too! It makes the same strong aeration sound as the leading competitor's and the wine tasted EXCELLENT! In the interim before the holidays, I had purchased a low cost/ inferior aerator that worked just fine I felt, the wine tasted better, so to me that is a success on it's own. Tonight, I tried a 3rd glass experiment with the Trudeau in the mix and it was MUCH BETTER than my inferior aerator. I am glad I treated myself to this special Christmas gift! I am totally excited with this aerator and I think it's the best on the market! It's also BPA free and that's important to me as well. Not all aerators are made/ function alike for sure. There are more expensive one's that perform not as well. I think it also has a modern, classy & "sexy" design. Thanks for making a top notch product! I will give more of these as gifts now and in the future! :)bought it as a gift. everything great. used it before works amazing - gives wine great taste for just a secondsExcellent productThis is a great quality product - works exactly as descripted. This shortens the air out process by a lot, if you like to mix more air, stand up the bottle more vertically as you pour to allow more air mixture. My sister has another great aerator as well, but you need two hand operation with the other one comparing to this pourer. It's convenient and it works great. I also own a Kuraidori (I really like it as well) but I prefer to use the Kuraidori when pouring an entire bottle into a decanter. I got this Trudeau for the convenience of just plugging it into the top of a wine bottle and pouring from there. It does a great job or aerating the wine and I am very happy with this purchase.J’aime beaucoup ! Le seul inconvénient est qu’il n’a pas son pied pour déposer l’aérateur !Car j’en avais un autre et ça venait avec le piedC’est ce que je déplore
