Remove the foil from the bottle, remove protective cap over the needle on the Cork Pop, insert the needle straight down through the center of the cork, hold bottle with one hand and press the top of the cartridge then lift as you feel the cork begin to come out of the bottle; Hold on to the bottle and the Cork Pops; The expelled cork is removed carefully from the end of the needle and the needle guard replaced on the opener.

I was given a number of 30+ year old bottles of French and Italian wines with deteriorating corks. I bought the cork removal device because I knew that a normal cork screw would destroy the remaining corks. The Cork Pop worked, and I was able to decant the wine thru a coffee filter. The concept worked, but it can't restore a bottle of wine that waas not stored properly.
