rim is perfect thickness - not so thick that it feels cheap; and not so thin that you feel it's going to break while drinking and cut your lips! i was so happy with these i bought a 2nd set as a hostess gift for a friend.We’re big fans of stemless glassware even though I know sommeliers would seriously disagree. We don’t have room to store 14 kinds of glassware though.I’d say these are ideal for wine, juice, water, whatever. Not Prosecco, champagne or cava though.As we’re trying to de-stuff our home, these will suffice for most all our of beverage needs.And for $2 or so each if they break who really cares? I checked 5 stars that they’re “giftable” because they’re nice and a great basic, but they show up in a standard cardboard box, so if pretty packaging is a concern I’d look elsewhere.I love these glasses. My first box arrived with one broken and I contacted Amazon for return. They sent me another box immediately with the understanding that I would return the first box within 30 days. In the meantime, I liked the first box so much that I decided to not return the second box (even though one was broken). They are good quality wine glasses and work great for a party and storage. I would definitely suggest the purchase.This is the best price I've seen for stemless wine glasses online or off. The glass is thick - which I gather is less fancy, but much much more practical. My cats love to knock these off counters and most of the time they have survived the fall. The set is large enough to host a large dinner - actually got them in anticipation of hosting our family for Thanksgiving. Since they are stemless glasses they are versatile and work for water or cocktails, too. I am very satisfied with this purchase and will order again should we need more.These are nice cups. I bought them for a project and they were delivered quickly and the outside shipping box was fine, but there were 3 glasses in my order that were broken into many pieces. I guess not too bad, but still disappointedNice size fits hand great priceNice glasses. I prefer the type without the stem since I am pretty clumsy. These glasses feels a little thicker than my old ones - all the better. Good value.I bought these glasses as a gift to my husband (to replace the fine glass ones I accidentally broke one by one). He likes these as much as the old ones! They have the same beautiful shape but are not as fragile (and not as lightweight) as the old ones.
