I got this lion as a gift for my Mom, whom loves lions. She will absolutely love this little guy! She's been wanting to redecorate our sideboard in the diningroom, and we have some pretty wine bottles, so I thought it would be neat to have a wine theme carried out with a bit of flair ^_^I also got her a nice wine to put with him, but I'm not sure if it's best to put a nice wine in it, because honestly, if the sideboard gets bumped by one of our Jack Russells (small dogs, in other words...) it could topple it over. He isn't lightweight, but considering it is meant to hold a long glass bottle full of extremely staining liquids... You get what I'm thinking here, I am sure.Other reviewers said it was super sturdy, not light, but not too heavy... I suppose I had hoped it was going to be just a hair heavier. He will work, but we might want to put a white wine in his little arms instead of red... Easier to clean up if all the wheels of the glass bus roll off and everything goes to hell lolOverall, he's cool, stylish and I know Mom will love him. She may even find other types of bottles to put in him arms/hands. I could see oil bottles, soy-sauce bottles, really anything you wanted to give him. I imagine many things would work.I would add a photo, but he's all boxed up for her Birthday. Party lion must wait for the party ^_^Love the item, but the packaging was poor and item rattled around loose in the box. It showed up with a broken antler which I was able to thankfully glue back on to look pretty good still.My kitchen and dining room decor is rooster themed. This is perfect! We found that heavier glass bottles can make the parrot unstable and cause it to tip backwards. Lighter weight bottles don’t have this effect.Got it as a gift for a friend, she loved it.
